Prog rockers, Yes, were on stage at the Caird Hall on 10th October 1971 - along with support act Jonathan Swift.The artwork on the poster would appear to confirm that this would be before they teamed up with their long time collaborator, graphic designer, Roger Dean.
Singer Jon Anderson and keyboard player Rick Wakeman returned to the Caird Hall in 2006.
ReplyDeleteAnderson came on stage saying "It's great to be back in Dundee, on our return engangement after 34 years".
Interesting poster. Strange that this was the "Fragile Tour' and certainly a million miles away from Roger Deans artwork for that album. Was at this gig.

DeleteHad this cool poster signed by the band. Very serious posh musicians sitting quietly after the gig with Steve restringing his guitar! Not too rock and roll!
