Another Deadbeat review, this time featuring Stiff Little Fingers, who played Dundee University on 30th October 1982.
I wasn't at this gig, but judging by the write-up, it seems it was quite a lively affair - including a bit of band/crowd aggro!
Apparently, well known bass player, John McCoy was there to see this one!

Remember that gig well - The lad that got his face booted from Dolphin Taylor was Zippy, there was a bit of a stramash after they'd finished as the young punks tried to have a go with SLF at the doors out of the main hall.
ReplyDeleteZippy wasn't the spitter, he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
I was standing next to the guy that Dolphin booted and he was a knob and he was spitting even though like the rest of us he was given a crystal clear message. He deserved everything he got and boy did he get it. I pished myself laughing. Dolphin was not a happy bunny at all.
ReplyDeleteRemember that gig, they stopped playing at least 2 times and told the audience to stop spitting then the bass palyer lost it . was a brilliant night.
