THE GALLEON BAR - INTERIOR

This was the view you got from the balcony inside the Galleon. Most folk made a grab for the seats nearest to the balcony railing because you could keep an eye on what was going on down below. It was like getting a window seat on the bus..!!

  1. Sob...it was a proper pub...not like the airport lounges that have taken their place these days.

Food at The Galleon, latterly, was fantastic..cheap, wholesome and tasty. Loved all the junk dangling from the ceiling which included a bike!

Attended many a function in the wee back room too...happy days.

  2. I seem to recall a mentalist bouncer from Beechie (somebody Small?) who took an instant dislike to me (and probably loads of other people) for no reason and did his level best to chuck me out whenever possible.
