REFORM STREET BARS - 1980's

The Old Bank Bar was the first bar to appear in Reform Street. This was sometime in the first half the 80's.
In the second half of the 80's another pair popped up on the street.
Shampers opened at the tail end of '86.
This was a wine bar which had arrived just as yuppie culture was in full flow.
Then a couple of years later, Caskie's opened.
This was selling itself as an upmarket bar with the emphasis on good food and select drinks.
The Shampers opening ad is dated December 1986.
The Caskie's opening ad is dated May 1988.
