The Bamboo in Reform Street was a fairly early example of a Chinese Restaurant in Dundee.
This advert for the Christmas period is dated December 1966.
It reminds me of a cartoon I once did of a panda leaving a Chinese take-away carrying a bundle of bamboo leaves under its arm..!!
Talking of food fun, this is a great name for a bistro - The Tuck Inn.
It was doing the biz along Seagate in March 1977, which is the date of the ad.
Lastly, an advert for a new food & drink spot that opened in Commercial Street in November 1988 - Cafe Royale.
I'm guessing that because the ad has flags, their food would be of a high standard..!!
