THE RUSTY KETTLE AD - 1988
Whether you just fancied a cup of tea & a scone or you needed a full meal, The Rusty Kettle at 304 Perth Road would serve it up for you. This ad is from 1988, but a wee slogan they had going in the mid 80's was - "The Best In The West"!
I loved The Rusty Kettle. I often went there with my mother at lunch times. Although it looked a greasy spoon, it wasn't, and in fact was very clean. It was a very friendly place, a trait which eminated from the staff. When it went, it was another loss to Dundee.
advertised veggie meals was a bit of a breakthrough in the 80's as my mum and dad would testify. jan
