ANGUS HOTEL - THE END

POTS ARE FORMED FROM CLAY,
BUT THE EMPTY SPACE WITHIN IT
IS THE ESSENCE OF THE POT.

WALLS WITH WINDOWS AND DOORS
FORM THE HOUSE,
BUT THE EMPTY SPACE WITHIN IT
IS THE ESSENCE OF THE HOME.

  1. That pic is so sad.
My mum, dad and I were the very last paying diners in the Angus. The kitchen closed for good once our lunch was served.

  2. That pic must be taken around 1998/99? By this stage, I think it was owned by Thistle Hotels - I knew it as the Angus Thistle.

I was working nearby at the time, and had to make my way past the site every morning. I'm with Bridie - it was sad to see it come down, given it was such a landmark in that part of town.
