SCHOOL BELTS IN THE 60'S

2 belts from Dundee's school days in the sixties that may make you cringe!
The TEACHER'S used the leather strap as punishment. A wallop on the hands for being a menace in class usually.
The PUPIL'S used the elasticated Snake belt to keep the troosers up. The belt would usually slip up around your belly dragging your shirt out with it!

  2. Willy would that be the same Mr Malcolm who used to hit you on the head with his whistle if you spoke in line. I'm sure there are some pictures of him on friends reunited.

  3. Teachers were total bastards in those days, now it's all pc so they wouldn't get away with the abuse we had to suffer if we didn't toe the line.

  4. it never did us any harm, and if u went home and told your mum and dad you got the strap they would say you will get one from us if u dont behave, nobody has any respect for any one now.
